This page is a Tribute to Vets Everywhere.

Her colors are bold and pure and the stars will shine forever over the land and country she represents.

Resting atop a 60 foot pole the American Flag constantly waves at all who pass under, around or near.

The thirteen stripes of red and white and the field of blue with fifty stars brighten the skyline of the small city of Coos Bay on the Oregon Coast.

Below the Proud American Flag was the black flag with white letters representing the MIA's and POW's both waving gloriously in the early breeze.

The city has waited for the moment that their flag could fly over the land and its residents.

With the help of Highway 101 Harley Davidson, who donated the flag and the city officials and the local people who graciously donated the funds needed to purchase and erect the pole That moment arrived on a very appropriate Day.

At noon on July 4th, 2007 at a ceremony conducted at 12:00 noon the great Flag finally became airborne to honor the 58,044 vets who fought and died for our country and the rights of all who call it home.

It now fly's in honor of all vets everywhere. Those who never made it home, those who were prisoners of war, those who were missing in action and those who returned torn, ragged and nearly beaten.

Those in attendance included the Mayor of the City, The owner of Highway 101 Harley Davidson Motorcycles and many proud residents.

There were biker in attendance on many makes of bikes and many people showed up on foot. Some came from miles away for this shining moment.

Some heads were bowed, some hands covered hearts and several saluted in respect. Respect for the fallen few.

The motorcycle in the next few pictures was built and decorated in respect for fellow comrades of Viet Nam who never made it home.

If you enlarge the photos you can see the foot pegs are made from Handgranades and on the kick stand is a large caliber bullet.

You may not be able to see it in these pictures but there are several scenes which tell the story of how the life of the American soldier really was.

Every time you drive by that beautiful flag give a silent little prayer to those who gave their all for our freedom.
