I'm Dale and I live in the state of Oregon. I have been enjoying the Oregon Coast for a good number of years now. I am originally from sunny California. I have spent time in several states including Chicago, Ill.

I no longer work. I told my last employer that I had to leave his employment due to a bad eye problem, I just couldn't see coming to work anymore.  I don't think he got the joke.

At any rate, I gave up on the work thing a few years ago. I worked at some pretty interesting things before quitting. I worked as a clerk in a sporting goods store, I picked Oysters in the mud flats, pumped gas and washed windshields.

I was a bartender and a radio disc jockey. Spent several more years in retail in the plumbing and electrical business. I was also a Real Estate Broker with my own office at a time when it took a separate license.

I have written a couple of books and numerous smaller articles. I do enjoy writing although I am a very unorthodox writer. I don't write like my school teachers tried to teach.

I try to write like I talk. Like you and I were just standing around talking. My teacher would not go for that at all.

I use words like "ain't" and now and then a phrase like "I don't got". Definite school teachers don'ts.

After leaving the workplace I find much more time to do the things I enjoy. You should try it, its great.

I have been able to travel, but I find that there is still a lot I haven't seen right here in the good old USA. I also enjoy hitting the highway on my Harley in pursuit of another wonderful state treasure.

That is the reason I chose to build this website. To invite you to travel the west and see the sights we have to offer right here.
