Wow! Have you seen the price of gas lately???
Of course you have, everybody has. The other day I had to promise my first born child for a tank full of go juice. Well, it really isn't quite that bad yet. But it is getting to be ridiculous.
I can remember when gas cost only 28 cents a gallon. When it went to 75 cents I had to sell my prized car. I had a 68 Ford Ranchero with extra wide tires, a 428 engine, an Edelbrok manifold and three duce carbs. It got about 6 miles to the gallon. I couldn't afford that anymore. Man, I liked that car.
Oh well, its gone, but today I almost need to get a second mortgage to fill the tank. Are you feeling the crunch too?
The backyard B-B-Q is starting to look good for this years vacation. If you can call that a vacation.
Well, you don't need to forget about vacations if you do a little planning first. If you are traveling by car you might want to know where the cheapest gas can be found in each town along the way. You can do that by clicking the cheap gas link located on the bottom of our travel shop page.
You should also take care of any necessary shopping in advance. For any vacation we will need summer clothes, shoes, flip-flops or sandals, swimming gear and dinner ware, some travel toys for the kids and many other items. These are also at the travel shop.
Give some thought to where you want to stop for the evening. Line up some hotels or motels prior to travel. If you have pets make sure the motel is pet friendly. Most motels are pet friendly now days, but don't just assume the one you want is. Check it out first.
