Mount Rainier

The state of Washington has more going for it than most people think. There are high mountain areas covered most of the year with a layer of fresh snow.

There are other areas in the mountainous regions without the snow and offer ample hiking and rock climbing. There are many wooded areas with rivers, lakes and streams which are very suitable for the avid camper and fisherman.

Many of the coastal towns of Washington lend themselves well to the deep sea fisherman. If you enjoy vacationing by boat or yacht there are lots of places to moor your vessel.

Another thing that has brought many travelers and visitors to Washington is the Volcano range. Mount St. Helens erupted some 25 years ago and spewed ash over most of the northern states.

Mount St. Helens is only one of 5 major volcanoes dotting the Washington landscape. The effects of her eruption a quarter of a century ago can still be seen today.

All this and we haven't even mentioned the many state park. The state parks cover just about everything the traveler is interested in.

All you have to do is pack your suitcase and hit the road to Washington. It is all waiting there for you.

Any activity you can think of is bound to be found in one or more of the park areas.
